相信讀者之前都有聽過美國2015~2020年最新飲食指南「取消攝取膽固醇上限」一事,然而在大家為膽固醇莫須有罪名打報不平的同時,不知有沒有人發現真正的兇手出現了?一直以來,專家們百思不得其解,為什麼限制了膽固醇數十年,但是美國人過胖的比例卻不減反增呢?其實,「糖」才是那原兇!

那麼,讓人類如臨大敵的「糖」,到底有哪些壞處呢?讓我們一起來瞧瞧吧

或許很多人認為,糖吃多了不就是比較容易造成肥胖和糖尿病嗎?但是,我研讀幾十篇國外文獻後發現,事情並非人們所想得如此簡單,事實上糖對人體的危害從頭到腳、從生理到心理不勝枚舉!此外,埋藏許多糖的含糖飲料,其危害也不容小覷,以下列出糖吃過多的各種危害(表格右方及文章最下方之文獻來源,供欲詳加瞭解之人參考)。

糖讓老人病變得『年輕化』

不知讀者有發現嗎?以上疾病中,有許多是我們所認為的老人病,然而糖吃過多的話,會讓老人病變得『年輕化』,這也可以說明為何越來越多年輕人罹患各種慢性疾病,「糖」絕對是其中一個很大的問題!

講到這裡,大家應該就知道為何要限制糖的每日攝取量吧?不過要注意的是,這邊講的是『限糖』,不是『限醣』喔!(糖和醣哪裡不同?請見揭開「醣」和「糖」的神秘面紗)。

在過去的美國舊版飲食指南中只提到要減糖,卻沒有訂糖的攝取上限,然而專家們研讀了眾多文獻後(如同我上面所做的事情),從2015年起「糖的攝取上限」被明確地訂定出來。(一天吃多少糖才不會超量? 請見天然的糖比較健康,可以多吃嗎?)。
